Largest bank in Belgium 🏦
For a brief period of 9 months, I’ve freelanced at the biggest bank of Belgium. The banking app was rated third of the world. It had various, extensive features - ranging from arranging mortgages, insurances, managing bank accounts (obviously) and more.
Working one-on-one with UX-researchers I used the design system and all its components to create 30+ flows. Whether it was arranging and managing inheritances, or splitting money with groups of friends - the projects were diverse and short of scope, usually about 2 weeks tops. This more or less covered 40% of my workload.
Collaborating closely with developers and product managers, I ensured the designs were both visually appealing and highly functional. This iterative process often involved A/B testing and usability testing, where I could directly observe how users interacted with the app. These insights were invaluable in tweaking the design elements to better meet user needs and preferences, ultimately enhancing the overall user experience.
In conclusion, my 9-month freelancing experience at Belgium's biggest bank was both challenging and rewarding. I worked closely with UX researchers to enhance a highly-rated banking app, creating over 30 diverse user flows.
